The dances that we teach can be categorized into three areas: competitive ballroom, social ballroom, and club dances.

In ballroom, there are two styles of dance - American and International. While some of the dances overlap, there are notable differences in style, music, and timing. Jorge competes his students in styles. That is, students can compete in all 9 dances in American Style, and all 10 dances in International.

Here are a few descriptions that might be helpful:

Smooth Dances - Dancers glide elegantly across the floor when dancing waltz and foxtrot -- but what most people don't know is that dancing the smooth dances to their fullest extent requires an impressive amount of athleticism, strength, and balance.

Night Club Salsa - Salsa is one of the hottest club dances there is - the Latin rhythms are energetic & intoxicating.

Argentine Tango - One of the most seductive yet most subtle dances out there. Dancers learn to become highly in tune with their partner's movements as they meander their way around the floor to fabulous music!

West Coast Swing - West Coast is a very versatile dance that is sexy, sultry and funky.
